David Bogie and Kevin Rae triumphed in the 2008 Gleaner Oil & Gas Speyside Stages, overcoming the muddy and treacherous conditions.

The early stages of the event were led by a surprising late entry. Top seed Dave Weston injured his neck on holiday and was not able to compete, but he found a suitable replacement in reigning British Champion Guy Wilks, who was at the event mentoring Dave's son. Guy led the way until the sixth stage, when major mechanical problems forced him to stop.

This left the way clear for Bogie to take over the lead, and in a display of controlled pace he kept just ahead of his main Scottish Rally Championship rivals, Jimmy Girvan and Kirsty Riddick by ten seconds. Mike Faulkner and Peter Foy took the last podium place a further minute and a half back.
